With over 12 years of professional experience in mentorship, teaching, and admissions counseling, Valeria prioritizes student growth and development during the college application process to best prepare her students to thrive in college and beyond. Valeria patiently guides students through every step of the admissions process, helping them create comprehensive actionable plans in preparation for college admissions, and aiding students in understanding and articulating their academic and professional interests. As an experienced academic writer, Valeria works alongside her students to achieve exceptional college essays that unfold students’ driving passions, overarching life goals, and unique narratives.
Valeria received her PhD and MA in Slavic Languages and Literatures from the University of Virginia, after receiving her BA with distinction in Communications and Russian Studies from the University of Delaware. Valeria also extensively worked on student growth and success while overseeing study abroad programs during her time as the Resident Director and Program Coordinator for American Councils for International Education. Valeria is a professional member of the National Association of College Admissions Counseling (NACAC) and has aided students in applying to top universities in the US, UK, Canada and Europe.
Based out of Tokyo, Valeria enjoys experiencing new cultures and traditions, exploring delicious restaurants, and traveling with her family.
