Joel brings 33 years of professional experience in high school counseling and teaching within public schools, where he dedicated his career to supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. Since 2007, Joel has also taught as an adjunct instructor of behavioral sciences at Wilmington University.

Joel holds a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from Penn State University, a master’s degree in School Counseling from Wilmington University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, also from Wilmington University. His academic and professional journey reflects a deep commitment to fostering student success, promoting well-being, and guiding individuals through pivotal life transitions.

Outside of his professional roles, Dr. Simon enjoys life with his wife and takes pride in the two children they raised, both now grown. He brings a warm, grounded perspective shaped by decades of experience, lifelong learning, and a genuine passion for helping others thrive.
